About the Artwork
The Basket of Bread, 1945 (After Dalí) is an exceptional, hand-painted master copy executed by contemporary painter Joseph Kapelyan. This oil on canvas painting pays homage to Salvador Dalí’s legendary post-WWII masterpiece, famously celebrated for its hyper-realistic precision and symbolic depth. Recreating the intense dramatic lighting, rich textures, and stark contrast against a dark background, Kapelyan beautifully demonstrates his command of classical oil techniques. This study offers fine art collectors a rare, museum-grade tribute to one of surrealism's most technically demanding compositions.
